A major extension to the power range of
Mitsubishi's FR-A540L high performance motor
drives, ten new A500L models cover the power range
from 65kW up to 535 kW - and still have the
smallest frame size of any in their class.
The A500L offers a 120:1 speed control range in
drive mode and 25:1 in regenerative braking mode
without encoder feedback. Low speed smoothness is
unrivalled with torque ripple under 5 per cent at
3Hz. When used with a motor fitted with encoder
feedback, the speed control range extends to
1000:1, speed variation range falls to under 0.02
per cent and the A500L can deliver short term zero
speed holding torque of up to 150 per cent. The
A500L combines all of the features of the smaller
A500 drives for driving motors up to 535 kW in
size. Perfectly suited to applications such as
pump and for speed control, the drives can be
tailored to suit particular needs by fitting
integral options like 12 pulse bridges and
sinewave filters to protect the power quality on
site.
