Power supply units are available in two types: the
normal one supplies service power for inputting and the
large-capacity one which can cope with the use of the intelligent
units.
2. 24 V DC power type series is also
available.
3. The use of power supply dummy units
eliminates the need for power supply unit
If the current consumption on expansion backplane
is small, you can omit the power supply unit.

Conditions for Use of Power Supply Dummy Units
When using a power supply dummy unit, the
following conditions must be satisfied.
(1) The length of the expansion cable which
connects the backplane equipped with a power supply dummy unit and
the preceding backplane must be shorter than 3 m 9.843
ft..
(2) The total value [i1] of the
internal current consumption (at 5 V) of the back-plane equipped
with a power supply dummy unit is less than 1 A.
(3) The sum of the total value [i1] of
the internal current consumption (at 5 V) of the backplane
equipped with a power supply dummy unit and the total value [i1]
of the internal current consumption of the preceding backplane is
less than the rated current value of the power supply unit.
Note: You cannot use two dummy power supply units
in series.
